Why it matters

The leader of the world's largest economy by output — and its most ambitious power project.
The state-led model holds: poverty officially ended, and manufacturing and EV dominance cemented.
Greater BRICS, the Belt and Road, yuan settlement: the architecture of a post-Western order is his design.
The constraint: Xinjiang's camps, Hong Kong's freedoms crushed, and growth now grinding at debt's edge.
