Magna Intelligence for organisations

The data room beneath the newsroom, licensed for the desks that price risk for a living: chokepoint ratings, country power scores, forecasts to 2040 — in English and in French.

What you license

Barometer — chokepoint risk

Ratings for 38 strategic chokepoints, reviewed as conditions change: the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, Suez, Malacca — the passages your cargo, cover and capital actually transit.

Who licenses it

  • Marine insurers — chokepoint ratings priced into war-risk and transit decisions.
  • Shipping & logistics — route planning against live passage risk, not last quarter's map.
  • Commodity traders — energy and metals flows read through the chokepoints that carry them.
  • Trade-finance desks — country scores and forecasts behind credit and cover decisions.
  • Consultancies — a licensed evidence base for client work, in two languages.
  • NGOs & public bodies — country context and forecasts for programme planning.

How licensing works

Enterprise access is an annual licence, priced by scope — seats, datasets, refresh cadence and redistribution rights. There is no published rate card, because no two deployments carry the same scope. Tell us the decision the data has to support and we will scope it with you.

Every enquiry is read by a manager and answered personally — within one business day.

For individual professionals

Working alone? The Analyst tier opens the same data room for one professional: forecasts to 2040, sovereign rankings and the full Factbook desk, at $49 a month or $490 a year. Enterprise licensing starts where a team, a feed or client redistribution begins.

Questions

Is this the same as the Analyst tier?

No. Analyst is a personal subscription for one professional. Enterprise licensing covers teams, data exports at scale, redistribution inside client work, and custom briefings.

What formats does the data come in?

Web desk access for your team and scheduled exports in standard formats (CSV and JSON). Feed arrangements and refresh cadence are agreed in the licence, by scope.

Which languages?

English and French, across the wire and the data products — the same publication, both languages, every day.
