How the Bureau works

Last updated: October 2026

About

No single capital owns the whole truth — what Magna Bureau is, what it covers, how it works, and who writes it.

Magna Bureau is a daily newspaper and intelligence publication. It reports on how the world actually works, and publishes every day in English and French. It is a desk-based newsroom: research, verification and writing happen at the desk, from primary documents — never implied field reporting.

Methodology

Magna Bureau is a desk-based international newsroom. We examine primary documents, datasets, official statements and attributable reporting. We distinguish verified facts from claims, analysis and uncertainty. Different perspectives help test framing; evidence determines what we publish as fact.

How the lenses work

Lens charter

Which regions and outlet types count as each lens. The charter is fixed; the desk applies it, never improvises it.

LensRegionsOutlet types
WestNorth America, Western and Northern Europe, AustraliaNational broadcasters, quality press, wire services, official institutions
EastRussia, China, and their regional media spheresState and commercial outlets publishing in-region, official statements
Global SouthAfrica, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle EastIndependent press, regional wires, local-language outlets

If no source from a lens exists for a story, we say so — "No source from this lens found" — and never fill the gap with invented text.

Standards

Every story passes full verification before it publishes: multiple independent sources, key-fact confirmation, and the automated gates. Speed comes from cadence — publishing around the clock — never from cutting verification. Being first means nothing if we're wrong.

  • Headlines state the tension honestly and are supported by the article's consensus box. Contested claims are attributed, never stated as fact.
  • Every fact carries its source; every source links to the exact document.
  • News is labeled , analysis , opinion — never mixed.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it visibly: the article is updated, the correction is noted with a timestamp, and significant errors are listed here. No silent fixes.

Masthead

Four voices — one editor-in-chief and three columnists, one standard: no single capital owns the whole truth.

  • Younesse Bouziani — Editor-in-Chief
  • Dounia El Filali — Columnist: Moroccan business, African retail, consumer markets
  • Malika Ahardane — Columnist: global consumer brands, marketing, corporate power
  • Khalid Al Harbi — Columnist: OPEC+ and oil markets, Vision 2030, Gulf finance

A desk-based newsroom. Research, verification and writing happen at the desk.
