Prime Minister — Georgia

Record & power

Record score	53
Power score	48

Country momentum 0 — Quarterly momentum: the Bureau's read on the country's trajectory over the last quarter, from −10 (deteriorating fast) to +10 (accelerating).

Why it matters

Presided over 6.5% growth in 2026 (IMF) and a five-year average of 9.3% — among the world's fastest. The $7bn transport and infrastructure plan to 2032 (Anaklia port, rail, new Tbilisi airport) is the development bet.
6.5% growth in 2026 per the IMF after years near 9%; FDI ran above 6% of GDP in 2021–2025. Inflation was 5.9% in April 2026; public debt is below 35% of GDP.
Economic competence deployed to entrench one-party dominance while the European dream is sacrificed. Growth without freedom is the indictment.
Upper-middle income and rising fast, but from a low base; the youth unemployment crisis means prosperity skips a generation.
