Rumen Radev

Prime Minister — Bulgaria

Country momentum 0 — Quarterly momentum: the Bureau's read on the country's trajectory over the last quarter, from −10 (deteriorating fast) to +10 (accelerating).

• Delivered euro adoption — Bulgaria's 21st-member moment, the year's structural feat.
• GDP up 2.8% year-on-year in Q2 2026; the Commission sees 2.5% for the year — solid convergence.
• NATO and EU member, now eurozone too; alliance integration deepened materially.
• The excessive deficit procedure triggered in June 2026 at 4.1% of GDP — the euro debut's fine print.
