Record & power

Record score	55
Power score	58

Country momentum +3 — Quarterly momentum: the Bureau's read on the country's trajectory over the last quarter, from −10 (deteriorating fast) to +10 (accelerating).

Why it matters

Sri Lanka's reform president — eleven straight quarters of growth out of the default.
Q2 2026 growth of 4.2%; the IMF-program anchor holds — the post-default recovery is real.
A balanced India-China courtship — Port City, Hambantota — the island straddle done well.
Anti-terror law reform promised, delivery slow; 2009 accountability still evaded.
