Why it matters

None to credit: the war he co-owns displaced >12 million, killed tens of thousands (ACLED ~58–62k documented; true toll likely far higher), and produced famine. Rejected the Quad peace roadmap.
None — the war consumed every development plan; Port Sudan is a wartime capital, not a project.
UN fact-finding mission documents war crimes and crimes against humanity by both sides; El Fasher's fall (Oct 2025) produced evidence of genocidal acts against non-Arab communities.
Backed by Egypt and Saudi Arabia; opposed by the UAE (accused of arming the RSF); AU presses for civilian transition; US denied him a UN visa (Sept 2026).
