Cookie Policy

Every cookie this site uses, why it is there, and how you stay in control. Plain language, complete list, no surprises.

Magna Bureau is operated by Magna Worldwide. This policy explains what data we collect and why.

Last updated: 15 October 2026.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, understand how readers use the site, and — where you have consented — enable advertising. This page explains every cookie Magna Bureau uses, why we use it, and how you can control them.

Cookies we use

We keep our cookie footprint as small as possible. Here is the complete list:

  • Consent preference (InMobi Choice) — our consent management platform (InMobi Choice). It stores your privacy choices under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF 2.3): which cookie categories you accepted or declined. This is strictly necessary — without it, we would have to ask you on every page. Retention: 12 months.
  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — helps us understand which stories readers find most valuable, how long people spend reading, and where our audience comes from. These cookies only load after you consent to analytics cookies in our consent manager. Where no consent is required in your region, they load by default. They do not identify you personally; Google aggregates the data. Retention: up to 24 months.
  • Cloudflare (__cf_bm, cf_clearance) — our hosting provider sets these for security and performance: bot detection, rate limiting, and making sure pages load fast worldwide. These are strictly necessary for the site to function securely. Retention: session to 30 days.
  • InMobi Choice CMP (consent framework) — our consent management platform stores your privacy choices under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF 2.3). This ensures your preferences are respected across the site. Retention: 12 months.
  • Google AdSense (when approved) — once our AdSense application is approved, Google may set advertising cookies to show relevant ads and measure their performance. These only activate after you consent to advertising cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via Google's Ad Settings.

Cookies we do not use

We do not use fingerprinting, cross-site tracking pixels, or social media tracking buttons that phone home. We do not sell cookie data. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of our own.

How to manage cookies

You are in control:

  • Our consent manager — when you first visit from a region where consent is required, our consent manager asks for your choices on analytics and advertising cookies, which you can accept or decline by category. You can change your mind at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page, which re-opens your privacy choices.
  • Your browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. In Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies. In Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security. In Safari: Settings > Privacy.
  • Google opt-out — install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent GA4 from collecting data on any site.

Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies (consent preference, Cloudflare security) may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies — for example when AdSense goes live — we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again. The date of the last update is shown below.
