Who builds Spain’s warships?

Navantia of Madrid builds Spain’s S-80 submarines and F-110 frigates, designed Australia’s Hobart-class destroyers and sold Avante corvettes to Saudi Arabia. Spain’s state shipbuilder also maintains the Juan Carlos I amphibious ship and exports naval designs worldwide. Its S-81 Isaac Peral submarine entered Spanish service in 2023, ending a long-delayed program.
