Huntington Ingalls Industries of Newport News, Virginia, is the sole builder of America’s nuclear aircraft carriers — every carrier since the Nimitz class. With $9.3B in arms revenue in 2023 (SIPRI), its Ingalls yard also builds Arleigh Burke destroyers and amphibious ships, and with General Dynamics’ Electric Boat it builds Virginia-class submarines.
