Profile: Younesse Bouziani

Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Magna Bureau, founder and CEO of Magna Worldwide, and the Bureau's Morocco-desk correspondent — as described in the Bureau's own masthead and about pages.

Younesse Bouziani is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Magna Bureau, and the founder and CEO of Magna Worldwide, the operating company behind the Bureau. He founded the newspaper in September 2026. This profile draws only on what the Bureau's own masthead and about pages say about him — nothing here comes from outside those pages.

The founding idea

After years of watching the same story framed three different ways by rival capitals, Younesse had a vision: a newspaper that gives the world clarity. He founded the Bureau on that idea. The paper's motto — no single capital owns the whole truth — is the founding idea stated in one line: every story is read through three lenses, Western, Eastern, and Global South, before it reaches the page, because a single capital's framing is never the whole story.

The job

As Editor-in-Chief, he leads a desk-based newsroom. The Bureau's writers work from the research desk: the paper does not claim reporters in every capital, and it does not present secondhand material as field reporting. The editorial desk runs on Africa/Casablanca time, UTC+0, and the newsroom is distributed across four continents, with no single office holding the whole Bureau. Alongside his editorial role, he covers the Morocco desk himself, and he writes one column a month.

The newsroom he leads is small by design. Five voices in total write for the Bureau: the Editor-in-Chief and four columnists — Dounia Filali on Moroccan business, African retail and consumer markets; Malika Ahardane on global consumer brands, marketing and corporate power; Khalid Al-Harbi on OPEC+ and oil markets, Vision 2030 and Gulf finance; and Amber Phillips on American politics. The masthead describes them as hired for two things: knowing their beat cold, and being willing to argue with their own side when the facts demand it.

The method he set

The method Younesse set for the Bureau is stated on the about page as non-negotiable. Facts come from evidence, not from agreement: where the three lenses agree and the evidence supports it, the Bureau prints it as fact. Where they disagree, the Bureau says so honestly and shows the disagreement instead of hiding it. Every story is analysed through the five dimensions of the 5D framework — geopolitics, macroeconomics, demographics, history and technology — with each lens reading every story across all five dimensions.

The principles he published with the paper are equally plain. Clarity is the product: if a story cannot be understood, it has not been written. Independence is the method: no investor, no government, no sponsor shapes a sentence. The Bureau is independent — no investor owns it, no government funds it, no one it has to please. Its only loyalty is to the reader trying to see through the noise.

The book

Younesse is the author of Nations vs Corporations: An Economic (R)evolution, named on both the masthead and the about page. The book's argument — that the contest between nations and corporations is the defining economic struggle of the age — is the same contest the Bureau covers daily: the forces that move nations, markets and lives, reported through geopolitics, macroeconomics, energy, money, technology and demographics.

What he says about the team

The masthead closes his entry with a line in his own voice: he counts himself lucky that a team of brilliant minds joined him to build it. The paper he founded publishes two editions a day, every day, in English and French — a morning edition at 06:00 and an evening edition at 18:00 — alongside a weekly World Barometer, country rankings on a transparent methodology, the Magna Factbook country reference, investigations, and signed opinion columns. That is the whole of the public record as the Bureau itself tells it: a founder who set a method, hired five voices, and still covers a desk himself.
