Privacy Policy

We report on the world's power flows — which means we are held to a higher standard on yours. This policy is written in plain language, on purpose. No fog, no fine print.

What we collect

We collect as little as possible, and only what the site needs to work:

  • Account details — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. That is how we know it is you when you comment.
  • Comments you post — the text of your comments, your display name, and the time you posted them. Comments are public, by design.
  • Reading progress — stored locally on your own device (in your browser), so we can remember where you left off. This never leaves your phone or computer.

We do not ask for your phone number, your address, or anything else.

What we never do

  • No advertising. There are no ads on this site, and no ad trackers watching you read.
  • No selling your data. Your information is never sold, rented, or traded — to anyone.
  • No sharing with third parties. Apart from the infrastructure that runs the site (hosting and sign-in providers), your data goes nowhere.
  • No profiling. We do not build profiles of you, score your behavior, or sell attention based on what you read.

Your rights

Your data belongs to you. You may, at any time:

  • See what we hold about you — ask, and we will show you.
  • Correct it — if your name or details are wrong, tell us and we will fix them.
  • Delete it — ask us to erase your account and your comments, and we will. Public comments you posted will be removed from the site.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the contact below. We will respond within a reasonable time — and deletion requests are honored in full.

Data retention

We keep your account data only for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal details are removed with it. Comments you chose to delete are removed immediately. Reading progress lives only on your device — clear your browser storage and it is gone.

Security

Sign-in is handled by Google's authentication system — we never see or store your password. Access to our database is restricted, and comment data is governed by strict rules: the public can read comments, but only signed-in readers can post, and only you can edit or delete your own.
